Family Counseling
Two or more members of a family focusing on issues or obstacles that are impacting or at times derailing the direction the family is going. Often clients seek family counseling for substance use within the family, pre or post divorce for children that are affected as well as step-family or blended family issues, etc.

Group Counseling
We offer a variety of groups. please click on our groups for more information. Group therapy is held in the conference room and is facilitated by a licensed psychologist or therapist.

Teen Counseling
Where do you turn when you need direction and a plan on how to more effectively parent your teenager, or where can a teenager turn to get some direction on how to navigate the difficulties and obstacles of life? We have experienced clinicians who specifically enjoy and are extremely effective with the adolescent population.

Job / Executive Coaching
For employees that want to improve their performance or want to pursue advancement in their current company. What are the obstacles or issues that keep that promotion from happening? Are there things in your current position that limit your potential or steal your motivation in the work environment? Coaching can help you manage your boss or supervisor as well as manage reporting employees.

Management/HR Consultation
If your business is too small to have a Human Resource Department on staff, but you need assistance to motivate employees or decide how to deal with employees’ behaviors, absenteeism or performance issues, you are a great candidate to receive consultation in person or on the phone from a psychologist who has worked 12 years providing consultations and services to hundreds of companies regarding a variety of management issues.

CISD
Emergency Consultation on- site services available. We have an experienced crisis clinician who has provided on site services and consultation to companies in person and over the phone for years. If you are doing a downsizing and want someone on site to provide services to laid-off employees or need debriefing services to employees who have experienced a robbery, injury, or death at work call to consult. Research shows that an employee who is traumatized at work by witnessing or experiencing a traumatic incident will become less productive unless they have had time to debrief the trauma on site or off-site. Most employees view these services being available to them as sign of respect and validation from the company of what has happened to them. The research shows that when these services have been provided, employees use less sick time and personal time off and they are more productive while on the job. Companies who want their most valuable asset, their employees, to be able to return to work faster and with ability to functioning at their peak performance know getting services for them quickly when exposed to a critical incident is imperative.

Marriage Counseling
We offer pre-marital counseling in addition to marital or couples counseling.

Individual Counseling
We offer individual counseling for a variety of issues.

Christian Counseling
We believe all counseling is valued based. At Hardy & Stephens Counseling we offer the choice of being counseled from a Christian perspective. If clients request we may include use of prayer, Biblical reference and biblical principles as well the spiritual disciplines. Treatment objectives are focused on empowering clients towards emotional and spiritual healing by equipping them with tools and information to integrate their physical, mental and spiritual health.

EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing; a technique that is used that is especially effective with clients “feeling stuck” or suffering from PTSD, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. (See EMDR on resource page for more information).

Chemical Dependency Evaluation
Chemical Dependency is often defined as a progressive and chronic addiction to chemicals or substances. Often an individual suffers negative consequences as a result of their chemical use with employment, school, family life and may have unwanted involvement with the legal system. Often a Chemical Dependency Evaluation is warranted to diagnose the chemical dependency and recommend the appropriate level of care to treat the addictions or issues. A Chemical Health Evaluation typically is 1.5- 2 hours long and relevant information is typically gathered using a: 1. A clinical assessment 2. Assessment tools like SASSI, CAGE MAST 3. Collateral information from school, work, spouse, family member, etc The completed Chemical Dependency Evaluation will include a summary of information; a diagnosis if appropriate and treatment recommendations. Evening appointments are also available for this service.
