Self Esteem Group
lieve in YOU
rself – A Therapeutic Art Group for People Struggling with Low Self-Esteem.
This therapeutic art group is being offered for teens as well as adults. We will combine art and coping skills to help group members learn how to feel better about themselves, and ultimately live healthier, more adaptable lives. We will discuss what low self-esteem is, how it is maintained, and how to change your thoughts to begin to see the positive attributes you have, which will help to change your self-image and increase self-esteem. Art activities include drawing, painting, collage, mask-making, and more. Call today to get into the next available group!
Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder & Other Neurobehavioral Conditions
Nikki Freeman is a Certified Facilitator of the FASCETS Neurobehavioral Approach to FASD and other neurobehavioral conditions. She gives presentations and trainings in a variety of formats and will tailor formats of presentations and trainings according to need and request. Trainings are available to anyone who wants to learn more about FASD and the Neurobehavioral Approach, and can be in professional or community settings. An introductory training is done in one hour. More in-depth trainings can be anywhere from 3-6 hours on one day or spread over three to six weeks. Nikki prefers smaller groups of 4-8 people so more individual attention can be given to the unique needs of the participants, however, trainings are offered in larger group settings as well. Fees vary according to participation.
Nikki also does individual parent training and coaching upon request. The fee for this can often be covered through county funds if included in CADI waiver plans.
(The workshop is based on the curriculum created by Diane Malbin through FASCETS, an internationally known training model about FASD/NB disorders and the brain-based approach. Diane Malbin is the author of the book, Trying Differently Rather Than Harder.)
